I had only been animating professionally for less that a year at this point, and to pull this shot off gave me quite a few gray hairs. It isn't easy...you need to tell your story by balancing all three characters...the temptation to overact on one while the other is delivering the line was very acute. Animating a character so he looks interesting but not interesting enough to distract the viewer from the main action is a lot tougher than it looks, trust me. I know I almost got pulled from this shot a couple times, but, somehow, I was able to pull it together.
