Before I worked on SW1, actually before I worked on
Jack Frost,
I was on the Str Wars Image Unit, a small group of ILM artists who created imagery
for licensing of Lucasfilm material, for toys and cars and anything else that would
be used in any SW1 merchandise.
Now this may not sound terribly exciting but it was
a lot more fun than I thought it would be. I got to use models before they were used
in the movie and actually help make the final look of some of these characters.
And also see my work reproduced in real life: several of the poses I worked on were
actually made into toys. Very cool.
