Finally, i've taken the big step and am posting some of my animation artwork.
First on the menu is a rat i designed for a lip-synch assignment,
"Something About Cheese.". Essentially we had a choice of one of five
different soundtracks to choose from. I took this rather innocent one
(tho the female voice did sound very...luscious) about tasting a bit
of cheese and transforming it into a story about two rats, cheese, and
oral sex. Only some of the instructors liked it, and those that did said they'd never EVER show it
to their kids. Ahh: the first sweet taste of success....
Second up is the Goofy i designed for a second-year animation
assignment at Sheridan College.
Good ol' Goofy was a morgue assistant. We had to animate to a set
soundtrack of a creaking chair, a sigh, and an opening door, but use
Goofy as the main character. The class watched a lot of those old
Disney cartoons of the 50s to get the "feeling" of being Goofy. I
actually liked that the best of the whole assignment. Animating to the
badly-timed track...well...that was a barrel
of laughs, it was. Well, more like a bucket of guts....

  | | And here's some stuff from my third-year film, The Car. Please don't ask me what the film was about. I drew and directed the bloody thing and I still don't know. Here's one of the main characters, the Car in the title, Christine. Yes, I know I got the name from Stephan King, and it IS a demonically-possessed car. So here she is, from rough construction to finished drawing, an (oooh!) action scene right from the film, and her beautiful front. Also, the layout for the opening scene and the actual pan background (which took me, with all the effects passes, about 26 hours to film). | | |
Here's some more recent independant stuff i've done. Now I'm not
sure exactly what I'll use them for, probably for that short I
have been threatening to do for the last little while. Take a
gander: tell me what
you think. Keep in mind, dear visitor, these images are
protected by my
copyright.
