Traditional Art Gallery

Now on the slab, some "real" artwork...stuff done with a *gasp* pencil or something. All of these pieces were done while i was at Sheridan College, most during my tenure in Classical Animation.

First, some figure drawing. These range from 5 minute sketches to 30 minute studies and a watercolour.

5 min. sketch male. 5 min. female studies. 1 min. female study. 5 min. female study. 15 min. female study.

Hand and knee detail. Knees. Posterior. 1 hour man sitting. Egon Schiele study of a male, 1 hour..

These next three are more along the lines of artistic pieces. The first two an assignment out of my Art Language class, the first in varying tones of gray, the second, a colour exploration of the original black and white study. The third piece is the detail of the eye of the sitting man in an earlier work.

Shipwreck, B&W. Shipwreck, colour. The Eye.

Here are some post-Sheridan works. They are slightly different than my previous works, all done in black ink. They represent more of an interpretation of what I see than a direct reflection. For example, Smoke is what I once saw in a candle flame. Combination is a double portrait of my good friend Rob and his then current girlfriend. I'm not sure exactly what Envy is about. Same with Ram and Brain. The last bunch are ones that I've played around with in Photoshop. Just stuff that came out of me noggin, I guess.

Smoke. Combination Envy. Ram. Brain.

Merry Xmas The captain Miguel. The security officer. Christmas 2001.

Christmas 2002.

Some printmaking that I played with in Art Fundamentals while i was at Sheridan College, before I entered the Classical Animation program. I actually did several prints over the semester, but I am at a loss where they are right now. As soon as i find them, I'll post, so please excuse the paltry pickings for now.

Untitled. The kiss.
