Television
I have worked on two television series and one movie-of-the-week, in roles ranging from
as digital character animator, lead animator, and visual effects supervisor.
Not the same as film in that turn around time is much shorter, crews smaller and less
specialized, and even though the resolution of the final images are less than there would be
for film, the quality of the work is just as high.
Unfortunately, I have only images from a short sequence I supervised at
GVFX for Stargate SG1, but it is the work I am most proud of.
Luckily, the episode in question has been aired and I am now able to show these stills.
The team had a two week deadline to do a test: take a still of the
Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station
and recreate it in full 3D without using the cheat of projection mapping. I am happy to say that
my team performed amazingly and when the effects supervisor from Stargate saw the finished
product, he was very impressed!
